Indie film calling for designation of school shooters/bombers as domestic terrorists

"American Terrorist" is an animated film by first time director Joseph D. Bonczyk about a very serious topic. In it, he calls for the designation of school shooters and bombers as domestic terrorists. Through animation, Mr. Bonczyk makes the connection between the notorious Columbine High School attack on April 20, 1999 and subsequent school shootings/bombings across America and the world.

The following are screenshots from "American Terrorist" published with the filmmaker's permission:

Twenty-six innocents -- 20 first-graders and six adults including the school principal -- were murdered at Sandy Hook Elementary School when a 19-year-old former student/Columbine admirer opened fire in Connecticut in December 2012.

An investigation after the massacre found that the shooter was infatuated with Columbine.

Seventeen innocents - 14 students, two faculty members and a teacher were murdered at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School when a 19-year-old expelled student, who researched Columbine, opened fire in Parkland, Florida.

Just a few months before his deadly attack, the "Parkland" shooter vowed he was going to be the "next school shooter" in a message he posted on YouTube. He repeated this threat in a homemade video filmed shortly before the Valentine's Day massacre.

Russian President Vladimir Putin blamed the proliferation of deadly school violence on a problem originating in the United States which spread globally via the internet, following the 2018 school massacre in Kerch. The 18-year-old shooter/bomber, dressed as one of the Columbine killers and copying techniques used at Columbine, murdered 20 people and injured 70 others. He then took his own life in the school's library just as the Columbine killers had 20 years earlier.

Note: On May 11, 2021, another Columbine-inspired mass school shooting/bombing occurred in Russia - this time in Kazan, Tatarstan. Nine people were killed and 23 others were injured by a 19-year-old former student dressed in a Columbine-style black trench coat.
