Michigan Governor Rick Snyder has signed Public Act 457 of 2018 into law making cyberbullying a misdemeanor and punishable by 93 days in jail and a $500 fine. Under this law a "pattern of repeated harassment" is a felony, punishable by up to five years in prison and a $5,000 fine. Cyberbullying resulting in the victim's self-murder is punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine. The new Michigan law goes into effect in March. Anti-bullying advocate Angela Suttne
