Bullying a serious issue in nursing says the American Nurses Association

The America Nursing Association (ANA) finds that bullying, incivility and workplace violence violence "are serious issues in nursing."

According to the ANA, bullying is a "very serious issue" that poses a threat to patient safety, nurses safety, and the entire nursing profession.

The ANA defines bullying as “repeated, unwanted harmful actions intended to humiliate, offend and cause distress in the recipient,” is a very serious issue that threatens patient safety, RN safety, and the nursing professional as a whole.
