WE TOO: Remembering Caroline on the 2nd anniversary of her murder

Two years ago today, my dear friend Jane Brady Nosal's daughter Caroline was murdered by a disgruntled former co-worker.

Weeks earlier, Caroline complained to management about his conduct. His employment was terminated on February 1, 2016 and he shot Caroline dead as she left work on February 2, 2016.

This was a senseless killing, the ultimate act of retaliation upon a victim by a perpetrator of workplace harassment.

Caroline the equestrian, figure skater, animal lover and book worm was headed back to college at the time of her savage murder. This bright, caring, effervescent young lady could have been anything she wanted to be. Instead Caroline's life was viciously cut short.

I mourn deeply with my friend Jane for her beloved daughter's loss.

Workplace violence is at unacceptable levels. Prevention is the only solution.
