Mass Shooting Leaves 3 Adults including a Worker, 2 children dead at home of South Carolina doctor

James Lewis, age 38, was working at the home of a prominent South Carolina physician, Dr. Robert Lesslie and his wife, Barbara, when a mass shooting broke out, killing all three and the Lesslies' grandchildren, Adah, 9, and Noah, 5.

A sixth person, whose identity has not been released, also sustained serious gunshot wounds during the attack.

This is the second time in a week when children were murdered in mass shootings involving five fatalities and one serious injury.

On March 31, 2021, a 9 year old was one of five people murdered at an Orange, California office complex, with the child's mother sustaining serious gunshot wounds.

A suspect was located nearby the Lesslie residence. Authorities have not specified whether he or she was found dead or alive.

Law enforcement has not stated what specific work Mr. Lewis was performing when he was murdered, only that he was working at the time of his death.

An investigation in this latest of a slew of recent mass shootings in Georgia, Colorado, California and now South Carolina involving workplace-related violence is continuing.
