The WVPI's event is set to occur weeks before the 20th anniversary of the April 20, 1999 attack on Columbine High School. Columbine is credited with establishing the modern active school shooter/bomber era.
One teacher and 12 students were savagely murdered on April 20, 1999,dozens more wounded or injured, and countless others traumatized.
The fact that faculty and staff were impacted made the Columbine massacre and many subsequent kamikaze-style attacks on our nation's schools this brutal well-planned event inspired to constitute workplace as well as school violence.
Confirmed speakers at the WVPI's event are Kathleen M. Bonczyk, Esq. and Stuart Silverman, Esq. A victim's panel comprised of survivors of school and workplace violence is also planned.
Kathleen M. Bonczyk, Esq. with anti-bullying activist Angela Suttner, mother of Kenny Suttner 17 who was tragically bullied and took his own life 12/21/16, at the WVPI's 2018 event.
