Trial in Fattoumatta Jallow workplace murder approaching

On December 21, 2016, Fattoumatta "Fattou" Jallow, 23, was shot dead while working at a group home run by REM Wisconsin for cognitively disabled residents in Madison, Wisconsin.

One of Fattou's co-workers was shot multiple times before the gunman fled.

Ali A. Hassan, the man charged with intentional first degree homicide and attempted intentional first degree homicide in this case, was also employed by REM Wisconsin.

I first learned about this murder/attempted murder from my friend Jane Brady Nosal, whose daughter Caroline was murdered while leaving work by a disgruntled former co-worker nine months earlier and approximately one mile away from the location of Fattou's homicide.

Ed Trelevan a reporter with the Wisconsin State Journal informs us that Hassan's trial is scheduled to commence on January 22, 2018. We will report on key trial developments on future blogs.
