A few words by Joseph Bonczyk on Bullying
The following was written by my son Joseph Bonczyk who has been involved in the Workplace Violence Prevention Institute from the beginning.
Bullying causes trauma which can have long term implications on victims most particularly on children and teenagers who are still developing.
Victims of all ages however can suffer psychological trauma from bullying, according to Workplace Violence Prevention Institute member Dr. Robert Tanenbaum.
We must address the problem of bullying in a proactive manner to stop the damage it causes.
We must look at bullying with the same perspective as we do physical abuse inflicted by a perpetrator or group of perpetrators upon a victim. That is, as Joseph says words can and do hurt.
Stop bullying in its tracks.
