One of the women was found in a hallway and the other in an office inside the facility. The names of the employees have not been released, nor has the identity of the person who was wounded.

The gunman, whose name has not yet been released, has been taken into custody by law enforcement. It is unclear what his relationship was to the facility. However, some media outlets are reporting that he was a resident.

Today's tragic events in Maryland occurred three days after another health care worker, a certified nursing assistant, was shot dead inside the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia.

According to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), approximately two million Americans fall victim to workplace violence each year, with many more cases going unreported.
