Kathleen Bonczyk, Esq. to participate in "twitter chat" on active shooter insurance coverage

Property Casualty 360, a national publication providing insurance news, market trends, research and data to claims adjusters, underwriters, and other audiences is co-hosting an event on Twitter on September 27, 2022 at 11:00 am EST. Kathleen Bonczyk, Esq. of the WVPI will serve as a panelist on the topic of "Violent Risks: Active Shooter Insurance & Deadly Weapon Protection."

Given the current climate, this constitutes coverage all businesses should have.

According to a report released by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (F.B.I.) in May 2022, more than half of all 2021 active shooter episodes evaluated by the agency occurred at or near places where business or commerce is conducted.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) advises that at least 2,000,000 Americans each year fall victim to workplace violence. Homicide is now the third leading cause of occupational death in this country.

As reported yesterday on this blog, the federal judiciary's National Policy Making body agreed to administer regular workplace surveys to its employees and to extend flexabilities for remote public access to certain court proceedings in continuing efforts to secure the safety of federal judges and other Americans.

Please be sure to join us for this event next week on Twitter.
