5 dead including police officer in Raleigh; 15 year old suspect in custody
Another mass shooting, this time in Raleigh, North Carolina, left five people dead and two wounded on Thursday evening, October 13, 2022. The names of the victims have not been released.
After being contained in a barn by law enforcement, the 15-year-old suspect wearing camouflage and toting a rifle was taken into custody.
Amongst the dead is an off-duty police officer. Another police office was injured during the rampage. He has since been released from the hospital.
The alleged shooter was also hospitalized for undisclosed injuries. His identity and possible motive has not been released.
City officials will conduct a news conference regarding the massacre Friday morning, October 14, 2022.
