Postal Worker Killed While Making Deliveries
Employees whose job duties require that they work independently, away from the physical workplace are susceptible to workplace violence.
On the morning of June 22, 2019, United States Postal Service worker Antonio Williams, 52, was shot while making postal deliveries in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Williams was transported to a hospital, where he was declared dead.
Federal authorities and Shreveport police are investigating the murder.
Homicide is currently the third leading cause of occupational death in the United States.
