Authorities have identified the murdered Waffle House worker as 29-year-old Taurean C. Sanderlin of Goodlettsville, Tennessee.
The WVPI's research reflects that Sanderlin was the 11th American shot to death at work thus far this year.
The organization iCaualties reports Sergeant First Class Mihail Golin was killed overseas in combat on January 1, 2018, representing Operation Enduring Freedom's sole casualty of 2018.
The other innocents slaughtered in the massacre were 20-year-old Joe R. Perez, 21-year-old DeEbony Groves, and 23-year-old Akilah DaSilva.
The suspected shooter is still at large.
