OSHA: Violence seen as a threat to healthcare workers

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regards workplace violence as a particular threat to those employed in the health care industry.

Amongst other duties, OSHA administers and enforces the federal OSH Act which addresses worker safety.

The OSH Act is applicable to most private sector employers and their employees in the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and other U.S. territories.
