WVPI Active Shooter Prevention Training Orlando 2018

In light of yesterday's tragedy at Douglas High here in Florida, the WVPI will host an Active Shooter Prevention, Training and Risk Mitigation Session in Orlando in late spring 2018.

Date and location to be announced shortly.

The focus will be proactive and preventative in nature to include the identification of warning signs as well as to relate information on what to do if the worst case situation arises.

The F.B.I. advises that 70% of all active shooter situations occur in businesses and schools.

There have been approximately 18 active shooter incidents in American schools thus far in 2018 including the tragedy at Douglas High School which resulted in the deaths of 17 students and faculty members.
