72% of Workers Say Bullying Exists, According to a Survey

A whopping 72% of survey participants reported they were aware of workplace bullying in a study conducted by the Workplace Bullying Institute.

Another 27% stated they themselves were victims of bullying.

According to one expert, certain workers lash out at others and bully because of what is happening internally not externally.

“Perpetrators of bullying and workplace violence tend to demonstrate high levels of negative emotions and are prone to disagree with colleagues,” states forensic psychologist

Dr. Robert Tanenbaum a member of the Workplace Violence Prevention Institute.
